Course Description:
Definition of Leadership vs. Management, Leadership Styles, Emotional Intelligence, Team Building, Leadership in Action (Real-World Case Studies and Group Discussions), Leadership Simulation Exercises, Leader Characteristics and Personality Traits
Course Objectives:
1. Build a robust and versatile leadership skillset mainly teambuilding
2. Foster strategic vision by equipping students with critical and strategic thinking tools.
3. Enhance Coaching and Mentoring Abilities. and team building
4. Develop abroad understanding about some leadership theories, (Traits and Situational)
Course Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Differentiate between leadership and management with clarity and precision.
2. Enhance personal and professional development. And teambuilding
3. Identify and evaluate personal leadership strengths and weaknesses for continuous growth.
4. Apply leadership some theories (Traits and Situational) to real-world case studies for practical understanding and implementation.

Course Syllabus:
This course will be over a span of 8 weeks, with each week featuring one-hour session, totaling eight hours of training.

Week 1 | What is Leadership - Definition of leadership vs. management - leadership theories (Traits & situational leadership) | Group Discussion (5 minutes) Break participants into small groups (3–5 people). In their groups, they should: Share their personal definitions Discuss common themes Come up with one group definition of leadership |
Week 2&3 | Emotional Intelligence -Active listening and effective feedback - Emotional intelligence (EQ) and its importance in leadership | Emotional Intelligence Activity Activity: If I Were in Your Shoes” (Empathy + Perspective-Taking). Participants describe how they think someone else (e.g., a coworker or peer) might feel in a difficult situation Goal: Strengthens empathy and reduces judgment |
Week 4 | Team Building - Building trust and fostering teamwork - Team Forming steps and self -leadership | Team Puzzles Activity: where team members must work together to solve puzzles and navigate obstacle courses. These games are designed to require teamwork, with levels tailored for 2 to 4 students Goal: work on team spirt with pittance to accomplish team mission |
Week 5&6 | Leadership in Action - Real-world leadership case studies and group discussions - Leadership simulation exercises | Case Studies Activity: is an in-depth, detailed scenario of a specific instance, event, individual, or group within a real-world context. Goal: How to explore or examine real-life scenarios, situations and they can serve as a basis for decision-making, or policy formulation |
Week 7 | Leader characteristics and personality traits | Blindfold Challenge Activity: One person is blindfolded and must rely on others to guide them; blindfolded participants must complete tasks with verbal guidance from teammates to overcome barriers or obstacles Goal: promoting communication and trust. |
Week 8 | Final team Project. Each team will present his case
