Preparatory Year Student Care Unit

The Preparatory Year Student Care Unit (PYSCU) aims to assist in safeguarding students’ physical and mental well-being by providing help and support for any issues they may be experiencing, both academic and non-academic.

Issues that the PYSCU can provide assistance with include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Transitioning to university life
2. Poor time management or study skills
3. Coping with new friends/roommates, new routine, workload, homesickness
4. Academic challenges related to low grades or lack of understanding
5. Concerns about instructors
6. Medical and health disorders

Student Textbook 

The bookstore in Building 57 opens only for the first few days of each module. After this period, students still requiring textbooks must go to the main bookstore in Building 53.

Student Library - Building 58, Room 3001

The student library aims to promote extensive reading among PEP students. It contains an array of fiction and non-fiction graded readers, organized by level.

Student library opening hours are Sunday - Thursday, 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00. For more information about the library and its borrowing policies, please contact library staff.

KFUPM Student Mall

The KFUPM Student Mall, located next to Buildings 57 and 58, offers a small supermarket, restaurants, coffee shops, and a barber shop. Currently, this mall is only open to male faculty members and students.
