I am Dr. Adel Mohammed Yahya Al-Mahdi, holding a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. I served as an Assistant Professor in the Preparatory Year Program at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals from January 2016 to 2022.
In October 2022, I was promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Additionally, I received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2023 for my contributions to the Preparatory Year Program.
Throughout my career, I have authored and co-authored numerous publications in ISI journals and conference proceedings papers. My primary research areas focus on Applied Mathematics, with a particular interest in the following mathematical topics: ◼ Existence of solutions and asymptotic analysis for some systems of PDEs in Elasticity, Viscoelasticity, Thermo-elasticity, swelling porous-elastic, and thermoviscoelasticity. ◼ Stochastic partial differential equations. ◼ Image de-blurring and de-noising problems. ◼ Numerical linear algebra.
